Unlike most of the duvets that you'll have seen - this duvet is 100% pure silk. The filling is 100% pure long fibre mulberry silk and the outer casing is also 100% pure silk. Silk is noted for its hypoallergenic qualities and its resistance to house mites unlike traditional bedding and quilt materials.
It is the perfect companion for anyone prone to allergies, asthma, hayfever, arthritis or blocked sinuses. Other benefits attributed to silk, is that the natural amino acids in the fibres will naturally soothe the skin, perfect for eczema sufferers. Other duvets which are silk filled but with a cotton cover do not give the full hypoallergenic benefits.
Silk duvets are lightweight and contour perfectly around your body to keep you warm in winter and cool in summer. They are totally different to traditional duvets and are not easily measured by the TOG rating. The TOG rating given is therefore only stated as an approximate guide. Normal duvets are bulky and keep you warm by keeping the warmth that your body gives off within the duvet. This can result in overheating during the night. With silk duvets they are lighter so you will not get overheated and you will love the luxurious feel. I only have limited stock so buy now.
